my daughter ran my 306 into a post in tescos car park and now it will only start by bumping. It's not the starter or the battery. She also smashed the headlight but I can sort that. She is also looking for somewhere new to live ;D

Press the inertia switch in the engine bay,it should be battery side by the bulk head,red or black rubber button.It kills the ignition/fuel pump in an accident.

i was thinking along that line to oldpug but surely that wouldnt make it run if you bumped it off? it cuts the fuel fullstop. then again have been known to be wrong quite a few times lol

I missed that bit about it WILL start with a bump!! so I don`t think its the kill switch,could be though??Try it and let us know.

does the starter turn? if it does is it turning fast enough? if not then could just be a coincidence and need a starter
