Just wondering due to the amount of broken front springs suffered on this model , has anyone fitted the two piece " spring catchers " for want of a better description or anything similar that would do the same job. Partner vans and the citroen picaso i know were recalled to have these fitted , enqiuries with a peugeot dealer revealed they had these parts for the partner vans at £22+ vat but they were doubtful they could be altered to fit the 406.....the only advice the guy could give was to change the springs regularly !!! how regular he could'nt actually say !!! and where i would find the money all this would cost !!! very sound advice , not lol.......i kid you not here......any help appreciated as i'd like the peace of mind/confidence having these or similar would bring... cheers

these wont fit on a 406 as they catch on the tyre, i would reconmend chnging the springs at about 80ish k. changing them saves the hassle of changing brakepipes and driveshaft gaitors and abs wiring.
