New discs for 605 can be bought cheaply either in person at a branch of German, Sweedish and French or via their internet site www.andyspares.comPrices for discs are between £18.50 and £24.30 +vat for the the fronts. Pads £16 to £23.50 +vat, depends on what types you currently have. www.Buypartsby.co.uk also stock all these bits and have a online Delphi catalogue so you can see the shapes of the pads. It not worth using second hand discs and pads, you might end up buying warped discs anyway (esp. if the donar car is MOT failure).

No there was never a 605 Haynes manual. However fear not.... go to the library and see if they have a copy of "Hayes Citroen XM Petrol and Diesel", ISBN: 1 85960 936 8 , or "Hayes Citroen Xantia Petrol and Diesel, ISBN: 1 85960 550 8 . The XM & Xantia both use the same 2088cc diesel engine and similar transmission. Your 605 wont have "green blood" of course but the basics will be the same. Why the never made a suppliment diesel manual and fleeced everybody for another £15 like 205/309 diesels I dont know. They also do a Peugeot/Citroen Timing Belts Manual.
I would expect though if you have transmission problems the good old "consult your Peugeot Dealer" will be printed anyway.
There are loads of Peugeot CD Roms floating about on ebay normally, which will cover your 605 but I don't know how usefull they are. Also for a fee in euros you can look on line directly with Peugeot via peugeot.com (the annoying thing is Citroen offer this for free!).
Mat.
