Alright, I just got my hands on a 98 r reg 306 xsi however i am use to driving a 1.6 16v b4, not mentioning make but it wasnt a saxo. the pull on the car kicks in after4000 rpm however i been told at time of sale it a 16v phase 2 i done some research but would like to know if there any engine marks i can check out to make sure it a 16v. ie theres no 16v badge on engine block in mine.
is there any web sites to run reg check? also gettin 0 - 60 times and bhp seems to a prob 4 the 16v if i havent been ripped of and got a 8v which aint a bad thing just i had heart set on 16v.
any help appreciated, cheers

If yours is a 16v then I expect that it should be easily to identify the two pulley wheels where the timing belt drives the twin overhead camshafts.
