Hi. I'm just new to the club (awaiting membership) and new to the Peugeot 'scene'- any ideas where I can get a seal kit for the 2 piston Girling calipers - I seem to draw a blank where ever I go?
Also, where the hell can you buy single spark plug leads? They all seem to be modern kits with nothing appropriate for an old car. One shop asst. burst out laughing when I said I used to buy them off a rack - and I'm only 32!
Thanks, all help appreciated.

Good to see you. As a club member you will get the club magazine, which often has useful parts info in it. I can't believe Dean Hunter (www.peugeotparts.co.uk) doesn't have any. If you send me your address via pm I can send you the club yearbook which has a useful parts cross reference guide which should help you track down your calipers via other cars they were fitted to as parts suppliers often cannot cross reference these old parts anymore.

Thanks, I'll send my details. After my experience down at a few of the local parts suppliers I suspect it'll be rather handy having a cross reference guide (the couple of items I did manage to find/buy was more down to luck.

Hi welcome to CPUK, which 204 do you have? I ordered new caliper seals from my 504 from my Peugeot dealer, only after giving them the part number though (which came from central stores in France). I dont know if they are the same, they are twin piston. If they are the same I have some spares I subsequently bought on ebay for a few quid. What other bits are you after? Please let us know if we can help. Regards Mat (events co-ordinator).

Hi, I've got a RHD 204 Cabriolet RHD. I bought it from another club member who has kept it since the unfortunate loss of his son 9 years ago (who was also a member). Since the reply from 104ZS, "Peugeotparts" seem a decent lead (I need to call them on Mon) and I'm eagerly awaiting the yearbook to enable me to do some parts fitment comparisons - I may get back to you on the seals. I'm also a keen eBayer since I've been clearing-out my supply of Chevette HS parts, and have bagged a few decent odds n' sods. Anyhow, regarding other parts - about 30 minutes ago my d**n clutch fork snapped!!! Anyone happen to have an early type clutch fork in their spares collection? Mark

Dean Hunter who runs www.peugeotparts.co.uk is a club member, remember to mention it when you call him. He knows every part for every Peugeot I think! (he has a nice 504 cabriolet turbo diesel!!). Ebay is a great place for Pug parts, as I'm sure you've seen I moderate the ebay section on here and whilst it would be imposible to list all the parts on the forum I do put the more unusual/rare ones as I browse them. Don't forget to surf ebay.com as the American dealers are rapidly clearing out their parts as the call for them are near nil, also it picks up the Argentina dealers who have lots of vintage parts still in production. I've just looked at their (very good) website. I'll try them tomorrow, and even if they don't do the calipers I'll hopefully get a couple of seal kits. I'll let you know how I get on.

I contacted Brake Engineering who are very, very helpful with queries but unfortunately don't sell direct to the public but will give you the name of your nearest B.E. dealer. As it turned out my dealer was Andrew Page motor factors and my calipers happen to be the '68 onwards - when I found out the price I snapped ups 2 calipers on exchange @ £41ea + a couple of seal kits for future.
I happen to have got the last of their stock but the earlier Girling calipers are only £32ea & they have 9 pairs left in stock (same but different pins allegedly - or so I was told).
Dean Hunter sorted me out with a new clutch fork so we're just about all systems go!
Ta very much for the leads to these companies.
