Pug 106 1998 1.4 gearbox wanted and a question!MA)

Can any1 help, when we turn left and right there is a knocking noise (sounds like driveshaft, but it does it all the time!) Was told it could be something in the gearbox! So i would like to know which year and model that i can use the gearbox from!

The car is a non abs model, and it is a 5 speed box! if there is a chance it could be the drive shaft, again which year and models are the same! thanks in advance Mark!.

Any1 on here now out about peugeots? what are the gearboxes that are the same?

if i remember all 5 speed boxs from a 106 are the same, same with the drive shafts. if you can help it try and stick with a 106 box as the ratios and the mountings will be corect.

peugeot garage! 3 months ago!

Took it back today, lad said cv boot off and all grease was out of drivers side!
so looks like i need a drivers shaft!
