Picked up my new 407 SE Hdi 136 (55 plate) on Saturday from large Peugeot dealer. Started engine and saw oil warning light! not a good start. Checked the oil level myself and it was at the bottom of the dipstick. Informed Sales person who went to talk to service, log sheet showed they had put in 1.5l but unless it was almost empty they obviously hadn't! They topped it up and off I went. Monday morning I went to local garage who have one of the new digital tyre inflators, all tyres were down to 2.0/2.1 so had to inflate them all properly (Something else that hadn't been checked thoroughly) Later Monday morning after I pulled the car out of the tinted window company we noticed a 8" pool of oil on the floor! Seems my car is leaking oil already. We had started it up 3-4 times while windows were put up/down and obviously it leaks when the engine is runnning. Booked into my local Peugeot dealer for Thursday for oil leak to be investigated. Not at all happy with the garage I bought it from as it obviously wasn't given a proper pre-delivery inspection

Put your complaint in writing and also log it with your local trading standards, ask TS for a reference number. When you send the letter, pen on to it "Trading Standards Reference number xxxxxx" and date it. You should get a more happy responce as 5hite hits the fan.
