Sorry there is no need for his uncalled for responce like that, after all somebody buying a car like it may need some help in the future nodoubt. I think the membership sec did a good thing by leaving the message. Goodness knows how the seller has a rating like that!

Is this what the CPUK is coming about?
2 comments: 1) Ok, the reponse was rather abrupt but this guy has a point because, no, the membership secretary did not a good thing by leaving the message. 2) What is this "free help in selling"? A return to modesty might be necessary here. Unless I am mistaken, I understood this recent ebay sensationalism was all about gathering selling price statistics.
My interest in this club is fading rapidly...

No-one should get too upset. Even if the seller did sack-off CPUK, at least he still put the details at the bottom of his article - there's no such thing as bad publicity!

Well its turning in to an interesting listing. Just in case anybody here does want to know a little history about this Peugeot 201, yes CPUK does know some - which would have been given to the seller/new owner without hesitation. We know the two previous owners, not the current car dealer, and some of the mechanical status etc. Andrew created the ebay section of this forum for me to track prices yes, but as its clearly shown from the viewing statistics they are constantly viewed by the general public accessing the forum. There is normally only the ebay link, or a brief comment by myself included. I have had several questions over vehicles listed, in general help terms, so in turn aided the seller should they have received bids. Hence my decision to remove my posting. I think the membership secretary was civil and straight forward saying simply "Club Peugeot UK covers Peugeots of all ages. Our oldest car is 1904, We have a Prewar Registrar who also belongs to the VSCC for which this 201 should be eligible. For more info please go to www.clubpeugeotuk.org". He could of either ignored it, or said thanks. Selling or owning anything rare or unique like a 201 - in my personal opinion, any friendly help or assistance would be welcomed! I think its time to end this thred and move on folks!
