Towing with Partner

Will try this booard, as no replies received from Tech Board.

I have a 1.9 Diesel Partner Combi, i used to tow a caravan with a 2L Vectra, (both now sold) i am thinking of buying a small c/van,
has any one any experiance of towing with a 1.9 L Partner, would welcome any advice / comments
