Hi, Recently rented a 307 Hdi in Spain and drove 500 miles on steep twisty mountain roads with hairpin bends. Superb engine, though I was not quite so impressed with the handling. The steering was very light with little feedback. After doing the conversions, I worked out that I did 42mpg. Bit on the low side for a direct injection, but probably not bad considering much of the mileage was in 2nd & 3rd gears. What mileage do others get?
Just to satisfy my curiosity I wanted to look under the bonnet, but couldn't figure out how to open it! Anybody enlighten me please?
Regards, Donaldiesel

Hi i have a 307, on the passenger side, far left, bottom of the dash there is a little lever, pull it. This unlocks the bonnet. Then stick your finger underneath the bonnet just above the peugeot sign and you will be able to feel a catch, push that to the left and pull up!

Thanks guys, I looked where you described, and on both sides, (left hand drive) but no lever. I presume that the rental company had fitted a secure device to prevent tampering. Regards, Donaldiesel
