Ive got two Peugeot 405 td's. One is my daily driver (the STDT), the other I need to get rid of. As they are the same engine, what should i strip off the car for spares to keep my daily driver going?

If you have the room: Engine, all glass (especially sunroof), headlamps and lenses. Interior trim (if the same) back exhaust box if ok. Then put as much scrap metal as you can find in the shell and rub your hands together as someone comes along and pays you over a ton to take it away!

Didnt really want to keep the whole engine so how about stripping off the major organs like the diesel pump, alternator, turbo, starter motor, etc? Unfortunatley the interior trim is different. I got £80 for scrapping a car a couple of months back so I should get the same for the 405, which would be nice!

Shame about the trim, its so flimsy on the 405's it would have come in handy. Get all the exteriors off the block, may as well take the head too.
You'll get more than 80 quid now, the markets gone though the roof again!

Yeah the dashboard has its fair share of rattles and my driver's door handle sort fo broke yesterday dammit! Ive already had a second hand head put on my STDT a month after i got it - cambelt failure. Are the heads tricky to take off?
I had some berk come round earlier and offer me £50 to take it away! The scrap yard is just round the corner from me, so ten guesses what he was going to do!?
