I need to fit a front passenger side driveshaft to my 1.9 405 estate. Does anyone know if they are specific to the diesel or are common to diesel and petrol models?

There are a few different type of shaft available I think. I'd check the diameter of the shaft, type of hub nut fitted and number of splines into the hub. Might be an idea to get the VIN and build code and have a word with a Peugeot parts dealer to make sure. They ain't too cheap!
The nearside shaft is the easiest side to replace anyway!
