First of all, read your warranty document.
If the built-in phone is indeed covered by warranty, then go back to your Dealer with the warranty book and mention Office of Fair Trading. If the Dealer keeps refusing the repair, go to Court and launch a small claim. It costs £50 and does not require a lawyer.

if you brought it from a peugeot dealer then it should have a lion used car warranty for 3 months and any problems have got to be sorted by them. if thy are refusing then give peugeot customer care a call and let rip at them and i can garantie you will get a response within the next 2 days. the dealer has to give you the phone number by policy. if they wont ask another local dealer to supply the number

they told you that it has a phone, but it doesn't, because a broken phone isn't a phone. therefore what they have sold you is not as described. i would say that either the sale of goods act, or some kind of breach of contract applies. they need to either fix it, or take the car back and give you a full refund because they specifically told you that it has a phone, and it isn't as described (in my opinion anyway)

The repair shouldn't be under the warrenty since it hasn't broken. It never worked. I'm with Christi, it's a sale of goods act case since the car was not as described. If they wanted to sell a car with a broken phone they should have sold it to you while clearly mentioning that the phone didn't work.
Get hold of the manager and tell him you will be contacting Peugeot in Coventry if they don't fix it. The head office people are far more aware of the need for happy customers in the current market and the dealer will not want head office on his case for poor customer care.
You could also mention the local trading standards and the press but a threat of head office intervention should work.

Thanks for your replies. i spoke to Peugeot UK and trading standards today they have told me to email the dealer principle and copy Peugeot UK in the email. I have threatened them with "sale of goods act goods not as described" and given them seven days to respond before further action is taken. its not just the phone, in the month i have had the car they have worked on the steering twice both times they didn't do the tracking. very poor service from them.
