Hi Guys, We have lost the keys to our 205 Automatic, is there a way of getting a new set? I have been to Peugeot and they don't have a record of the key number, I took one of the locks down to them but that was no help. Any idea what we could try next, I sure I can get and fit new locks if I have to, but we have lost the little silver button key fob that made the car start, and the Chap at Peugeot said that they are not made anymore and we would have to by-pass the "Box" under they dash? ? We are in west sussex just incase there is someone around here that can help Tonyh

This going to cost you a lot.Peugeot parts will sell you a complete lock kit and keys,£100 aprox. Can you open a door??changing the doors and tail gate locks is an easy job when they are open. The steering/ignition lock is the problem as you have to turn the key to remove it from the steering jacket.[anti-theft]There are "lock out" firms in Yell.com that may be able to do this job for you, or its a gut buster drill job and cut it out. Then you will have to get an auto electrician to remove the immobilizer.........Are you still there??bad luck.

Any good locksmith should be able to make a new key to fit that lock and it will cost less than all new locks. 205 locks are not sophisticated. Yellow Pages. I think the tailgate lock has a different key, so it will be two jobs. Peugeot used to offer this service if pressed, and as far as I could tell, they passed the work on to a local locksmith and added their commission. Donaldiesel
