307 airbag problem

hi there, this is an ongoing problem which has really been irritating me for nearly 2 years now, and I have refused to pay £30 to find out what it is to attach it to a computer because I think its a rip off.....

the airbag light on my car came on, I took it to a local garage where I paid £30 originally, they told me they couldnt isolate the problem properly and only was able to tell me it was on the left side of the car. which really irritated me.

anyway took to a search and they said join 2 wires under the passenger seat together, because a connection regularly goes under their, so i attached them together and still have the fault.

dont suppose anyone has any ideas?

you will have the light still on as it needs to be switched off. you will have to stop being tight and take it to a dealer or somwhere with the knowledge to sort it out. dont forget that its a safty feature on the car and as the lights on the dash is lit up, the system is switched off so if you have an accident the bags wont go off, therefore invalidating your insurance and endagering your life. im not going to tell you how to fix it as you can easily damage the system or yourself.

just looked in your past threads and noticed ive told you this before so deffo not helping anymore on the subject

Even if your lucky enough to cure the fault yourself you will still need to have the fault codes cleared and the ECU reset on a Diag` tool that costs £3000.00 +.I agree with Frank,what you should have done is ask the garage how much to fix the fault,not tell me what to do myself.

Hello. I have a 2002 307 2litre HDI. I changed the driver seatbelt because it would not return. The airbag light is now on. I have taken the car to Peugeot and several other dealers and have been told the ecu cannot be reset. Any help would be gratefully accepted.
