Hi all,
I've just joined CPUK - I'm currently on my second 205 1.6 CTi a 1991 and love it to bits! pics below. It's not councours but has been very well looked after inside and out - the main problems are the fading of the Red on the bonnet (i'll probably eventually get a respray) and that it does seem to use a lot of engine oil. I also want to add mudguards, clean up the alloys, add an exhaust tip and replace the gear knob (does anyone know if a Phase 2 BE3 Gear Knob off an L-reg 1.9 GTI (reverse under 5th) will fit an H reg 1.6 CTI?!?)
I live in the herts/essex area and hope to attend some future CPUK events. i travel up and down the country every year visiting steam rallies, car shows etc as I'm also very much into traction engines and vintage cars and commercial vehicles and put a lot of photos from shows on line at community.webshots.com/user/shaunyb2 and www.photoboxgallery.com/shaunyb2
I've shown my CTis at Woburn Rally, Wheel Meet Again (Bishops Stortford), Castle Point Transport show, Ace Cafe London and this year I am booked to be at Classics on the Common (Harpenden), Woburn, Stortford, the Buntingford Classic and Castle Point. The Lichfield show looks good but I havent been able to get there yet.
I must admit i'm not mechanically minded though (!), I only know the basics, which is part of the reason why i Joined the club for access to all the library information
