Hi guys, Im going to view a 205 rallye on monday, its the 1.3, 1993 with 115,000 on the clock, I was wondering if any one can give me some guidance on things to look out for etc. Id love to get one but dont want to get stuck with a rubbish one. I was also wondering what the availability and cost of parts and the fuel economy might be like, as im still a student and the pennies are tight. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Marc in Glasgow.

Hi. Great cars. Loads have been thrashed so look out for that. Make sure it drives and stops straight. Rust shouldn't be an issue. cars still on their original steel wheels are more likely to have been looked after by a rallye enthusiast rather than one with boy racer wheels and a big zorst, both of which do nothing for the cars handling or performance.
Fuel economy shouldn't to too bad, it's only a 1.3 but expect less if you use the performance. Parts are OK in the most part but some rallye specific parts are now getting hard to find. ebay france is a good source.
