Hello there,
l use a peugeot 206(2000 model 1.4).for the past week l experienced stalling of engine when l shift to lower gears or reduce speed.lt sometimes jerks and backfires.l have gone to 3 garrages and they dont seem to find anything wrong with it!Pls advise.

Sounds like an idle speed problem. Not easy to sort at home as the idle speed / mixture settings are controlled by the ECU. Have you been to a Peugeot garage for a diagnostic check? They will connect via your diagnostic socket and determine which (if any) sensor may be at fault. Once diagnosed, this should be relatively easy to fix. Hope this helps
