Hi, i have a 1995 405 diesel estate and it failed its MOT yesterday, 1 of the things was the front discs, right - easy i thought. No, the old discs refuse to come off, no matter how hard i hit them with a lump hammer. I have rung a "technician" at my local peugeot dealer and he confirmed what i thought. i.e. that when the caliper assembly is removed and the 2 disc retaining screws are removed it should come off without having to undo the centre hub nut.
Has anybody else had this problem and found any easier solution than simply getting a bigger hammer?
