I could do with some assistance / guidance please.
I've a 203 which I bought on ebay, but unfortunately there was no paperwork with the car. It's left-hand drive and as far as I know never been registered over here. (It was on French plates when I got it). So no doubt when the time arrives for it to be registered I'll need to know it's build-date. Could some kind soul please guide me through the required process?
Many thanks, Mike.

You need to write to the Peugeot museum L'aventure Peugeot (in French mind) and then be prepared to wait around a year for the reply. They can tell you to the day when your car was born. Hervé (504V6ti) may be prepared to help with this if you pm him.

Sacre Bleu! I'm afraid that's the extent of my French, (hell it's taken me 50 years to be any good at English) so without a fluent speaker I'm snookered.
Cheers, Mike.

You may have to ask a member of L'Aventure Peugeot (the "official Peugeot old car club run by the factory) to do this for you. The factory used to do it for anyone but I think they may only do it these days for the members of their club. The document you seek is called an ""Attestation de Date Pour Véhicule de Collection".
You could write this:
Cher Messieurs,
J'ai acheté cette voiture en XXXX (year you bought the car) et j'habite en Angleterre (assuming you live in England).
Merci d'avance et veuillez agréer, Messieurs, à l'expression de mes sentiments les meilleurs.
Your name here Your address etc
I hope this helps.

You may have to ask a member of L'Aventure Peugeot (............................................... I hope this helps. My manners are slippin'! Thanks Mike, I'm now sorted for the date of my 203 - 26 Sept '52 incidentally. Seems my French mistress is older than she said. She told me she was born in '58! Many thanks to H...é. Great bloke, even if he does drive a Lotus. By the way H, Peugeot didn't think I looked like Brad Pitt, unfortunately more like an armpit. Cheers, Mike.

Hé hé! You'll have to try harder to look like Brad Pitt! Bye the way, I need to return those last pictures you sent me.
The Lotus is "just" an addition to the family, I'm keeping the 504 and the 406!
Don't forget to post pictures of the 203 once it's finished.
