Hi all, I've been lurking in the forum for a while having picked up an 05 plate 407SW just before Christmas (not new but new to me!) It has leather heated seats which do not work . According to the handbook Fuse G38 protects the heated seat circuit but the handbook does not show me where G38 is located. The implication is that its in the glovebox but the picture in the book only shows F1 to F22 on the main glovebox fuse panel. Now also in the glovebox, mounted above the main panel is a strip of 12 fuse holders, four of which are fitted - are these the Gxx fuses and if so how are they numbered? Interestingly, the hand book says there are are 5 Gxx fuses (G36-G40) but there are only 4 fitted in this strip. Photos of the fusebox. Is there any other reason the heated seats might not be working? TIA Mark

Well, both heating units within the seats could be dead, but it is quite unlikely to have both units defective with a car of that age. However, you can never be sure, you have a modern Peugeot after all...
You could also check that the wiring connections are Ok under your seats.

dont just prod at the conectors under the seats!! they also contain the airbag conectors, and proding them can set them off!! the seats work though the bsi , what you need to do is have them code read at the dealers because if the bsi is not programed for them they wont work. has the car had a download recently? if so it might not of been reprogramed correctly. do the switches light up when you switch them on? also check all the fuses as peugeot do somtimes move the location of them fuses regulary just to annoy you without puuting it in the book!! also dont forget to check the fuses under the bonnet and in the boot

Frank Thanks for the heads-up. The car has to go for a service in a couple of weeks, I'll ask the dealer to check whether the BSI is appropriately programmed. The lights in the switches are on whenever the car headlamps are on but there's no changes when I switch the heaters on. So far as I can tell all the fuses in all of the various locations are OK.
Thanks Mark
