covered under warranty question 307 sport

hi everyone i have a 56 plate 307 hdi sport with leather seats the leather on the drivers seat has cracked and there is a run of material were it was leather surely this should not happen after the first couple of years i look after the car with great car and am only 11 stone so its not as if i am putting it under any great stress,i just wondered if any of you thought peugeot might be willing to cover this under the warranty i just wanted to ask before i ring them up but i am expecting the usual "sorry mate not covered just wear n tear"

the interior is under a limited warranty .read the service book it does state in there how long for but i cant remember. its always worth going in to the deler just to ask. he will have to take some pics of it and email pug for approval.
