hi all this will be my first of many posts, i thought i would start off by saying hello to you all, i live in redditch west mids if theres anyone close by. first of all i know a few bits and bobs but am not a mechanic. i have just purchased a second 405 diesel estate m reg, my first has 170 k onit, the second has 107k and is in better condition.BUT after picking it up and driving only 200 yrds the cambelt snapped so you all know whats next. i was thinking of having a go at looking at the engine and repairing it myself rather than scrap it as i do not have the funds to get a garage to do it plus its proberbly not worth spending that much on it either. so where do i start...are there any guides or online manuels etc. any help and advice GREATLY appreciated.. be blunt if you think i am waisting my time ;D

i think youll be wasting your time, start by taking the rocker cover off and check that the cam hasnt snaped, if it has scrap the motor
