Crikey..just look at my brake discs on my 407 Sport.. Here's one on my 407 Sport: s624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/jdrsmith/?action=view¤t=407disc.jpgHere's one on my 207 Sport s624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/jdrsmith/?action=view¤t=207disc.jpgBoth cars haven't been anywhere in the last two days. There is a marked difference between the two. What on earth are they made of ? I've never seen disks rust on a car as quickly as they do on the 407. If I put it through the car wash and then let it stand for half an hour they even go rusty in that short a time, unbelievable. Can they be treated with anything ? copperease ? that's what we used to use in the oldendays.. Perhaps I should out grease on them ? (sic) That's gonna sound 'grate' when I get going later today..

Nothing unusual and nothing to be worried about. It's just slight surface rust. It goes away as soon as you use the cars again.
Your cars are probably not garaged, are they?

No, they're kept outside.
I always used to find that cars rusted quicker if you put them away wet in a garage.
Last twenty years or so we've always kept them outside.
That said with todays plastic cars I guess there isn't anything to rust much.
Wonder if this is why I'm getting this grabbing noise in the mornings ? wonder if the rust builds up on the pad as it's rubbed off and causes a temporary jam ?
The nearside disk is more exposed to rain and whatever at night as the other side is up against the hedge.
Hmm..

No, this could not cause any sort of jam. It's not as if you have a big chunk of rust deposit, it's just an very thin surface coat of rust traces.
At worst, if your car remained idle for several weeks, you'd get a slight noise when breaking, but just until the surface rust wears off.
