Hi, im completely new to this forum, just registered to ask the experts about the situation my old man has got himself into. He has lost his car keys and has just the spare to use now. Could someone tell me the best way to go about getting a new one cut? Dealer or Timpsons, anybody? Im not sure how much it will cost, but im expecting it to be enough so that he learns his lesson not to lose his keys! If it is any help, it is an S registered 406 estate., thanks.

Being on a S Plate means it's a 1998? I think that it is a coded key, so i am afraid he may have to obtain one from the dealer. Hope that you get it sorted.. Cheers, Lee

Yes, most likely a coded key for vehicle immobiliser, so it's a dealer's job.
