not sure if my clutch is on way out or synchromech changing from 3rd to 2nd gear crunches sometimes from 3rd to 4th unless i change gear very slowly any advise please.

Sorry its a 407sw 136bhp 2.0 hdi 85000 miles.

could be the clutch but they went very early on these as they had a problem, very had a syncromesh go on one either but theres always a first time. best bet is to get it roadtested by a gearbox specialist

I bled the clutch today seems to have done the trick, has the clutch got its own fluid reservoir or does it share the brake. i want to give it a complete fluid change but cant find fluid reservoir?

it shares the same reservoir as the brake

Thanks for the reply Frank fix was short lived only lasted a few miles then back to how it was, now not sure what the problem is. kev

Replace slave cylinder made no difference

be the clutch, but like i said get a specialist to roadtest it before wasting anymore cash

went to a couple of clutch centres today both have said its the gearbox how do i find out what gearbox i have i.e gearbox code? Kev
