Hi.
Recently bought a 205 1.9 GTi and the fresh air blower doesn't work. A couple of the ones I test drove had the same problem so I take it this is something that happens regularly?
Anyone got any suggestions of what might need fixing/replacing.
Thanks
Gabby

I assume you are talking about the internal fan for the cabin. It is a common problem on 205's as the bearings fail in the fan and it stops working. You will probably have to replace the fan but may be able to fix it .
the fan is located underneath/behind the glovebox. To access it you have to remove a piece of acoustic deadening in the footwell under the glove box and then unscrew the fan (Make sure you disconnect the battery negative lead first). It is a round cylindrical thing when you have removed it although you will only be able to see the bottom of it from the footwell. In all the 205's I have had they have been black and normally make a lot of noise before they finally stop altogether.

I think it is likely to be the rheostat that controls the fan as these often fail.
Lie on your back in the passenger footwell look up any you will see 2 screws on opposite sides of a rectangular shaped plastic mount - undo these and the rheostat will drop down then unplug the loom connector.
Swap rheostat with a £10 one off ebay and hey presto working fan! ;D
Did this on my CTI only a few months ago
