Hi All..... Been running my 405 estate on veg for years with no problems. A couple of weeks ago i had my air con compressor refitted and co-incidentally accidentally ingested a load of water into the engine at the same time. Got all that out and recharged with fresh oil (and had the injectors replaced at the same time). The engine now vibrates badly at tick over (at about 3/4 times a second) which smoothes out but is still there as the revs get higher. It starts well, pulls well and is fine in all other respects apart from a tendency to get hotter quicker. It did stop suddenly once going from high revs to low, but restarted when i re-engaged the clutch. Its an 'N' reg 1.9 TD estate. Help Please ! Rich

Crack an injector off one by one to find the offending cylinder but as pugtop said, you've bent a rod as it dragged in the water. To confirm it you need to take the head off and measure piston protrution with a DTI gauge.
