Would a brake servo from any other Peugeot / Citroen / Renault fit a 1993 405 Mi16? I'm having great difficulty finding a replacement.

I`m sure its a 405 only job and I think all 405 servo`s are the same.

Is there no difference in size between ABS and non-ABS cars?
All Mi16s were fitted with servo-assisted ABS brakes weren't they?

The only way to be sure is ask a Dealer parts dept. All MI16`s had ABS and I`m sure that if you get a servo from any 405 with disc`s all round it will fit and be OK.By the way 405 servo`s never go wronge,I think I`ve replaced one in the last 20yrs!are you sure you need one?

oldpug: The servo is for a car I may potentially buy. It definitely needs a new one as the old one has got a rust hole in it underneath. From the looks of it it has rusted due to wet leaf mulch build up around it.

The leaves must have been there for years!Give it a good clean out and make sure the body has not got rusty holes.I expect the drain holes both sides are blocked up.Have a look at the other side to see if the ECU`s are dry.I`ve seen them under water due to blocked drain holes, what a stupid place to fit them!
