Hi All,
I'm hoping someone can tell me whether or not ABS was fitted as standard to a 206SW 1.4 HDi 03 plate. My friend seems convinced that it was fitted as standard but I'm unable to find any indication in the car that actually shows it being there.
I certainly have no ABS warning light on the car or at least if I do then the warning light don't work.
Also on Vauxhall's there is a test called the paper-clip test which allows fault codes to be gained through a sequence of flashes from the engine management light. is there a similar test for the 206??
Thanks in advance for your help.

depends on the spec of yours if i remember only the middle to top of the range got it as standard, others were an option. there is no other way of getting fault codes other then a scan tool. peugeot used to have the same test years ago

If the ABS lamp doesn't illuminate on the dash for a few seconds when you switch on the ignition, then you don't have ABS (or the hulb has failed!). A dirty great ABS pump bolted to the OS inner wing in the engine bay is another giveaway.

Well having google'd what a pump should look like and then compared it to under the hood I can't see a similar part. Never seen and ABS light either so odds are it does not have ABS but will get deffo answer from Peugeot tomorrow and move from there!
Thanks for all the help
