If only I could figure out why the cooling fans cut in and out whenever they feel like it (the STOP light even comes on sometimes ) Its really noticable at night because the headlamps suddenly dim with the surge of both fans coming on at their full speed . The are usually on only for a few seconds. This can happen even when the car is fairly cold. If they come on and off for any lenght of time, say 20 seconds, the STOP warning light on the dash even comes on. THe temp gauge on the car has never gone over about 85 degrees and the car has never overheated.
Have checked the temp sender unit connecter , seems fine. Someone suggested the Bitron box under the LH headlamp could be dodgy. Anyone else had this problem?

Check the 3 relays in a box,in the middle at the front of rad. They get wet and corroded.
