Currently running a bit of a rare bird a 406 SRi estate with a thirsty 2.2 petrol engine. Had a bit of a mission with the exhaust. It turns out no one makes a pattern system and Peugeot charge 15 arms plus a bundle of legs for their one.
Thanks to Dean at peugeot parts for coming up trumps.
Anyway, currently the car is very very keen to continuously indicate left, which can be a tad dangerous.
Any ideas on why and how to stop it doing it?

Sounds like a possible nacked BSI. I have heard of folk repairing them, but a new one fitted and reprogrammed is the usual method.
Sould return 32ish MPG in mixed motoring, if driven moderately gently.

Yes BSI is what Peugeot said. £200 plus fitting plus VAT. 1 new indicator stick from Dean Hunter (£40) ten minutes to fit. All working again! phew

Excellent news! On many models the indiactor stalk is integral with the BSI and when it packs up you have to replace the whole caboodle, so that's one for the memory banks that the 406 (or at least some of them) have it seperate.
I came across one feller with a 307. His failed, so he bought a nacked BSI from ebay, stripped off the indicator mech from the donor and grafted into the existing one and that did the trick.
You now have an unusual pug, and an excellent all rounder. Sorted.
