We have a 205 CJ in our family, and for the last 3 or 4 years it has been rolling 15'' 5 spoke alloys with 195 x 45 tyres. She sits pretty high, and I was told by a garage in the UK, before moving to France, that the CJ has a different chassis than other 205s and can't be lowered. In fact, I have never seen another modified CJ and was wondering why this was. Has anyone else got any photos or know anything about this lowering business?
Cheers,

All 205 share the same basic torsion beam at the back, along with all other 05's so it can be lowered, but this is the big one, You might find the bearing's, seals and even arm shafts worn and need replacing which costs allot of money to replace, Also the torsion bar's quite often rust into the beam so taking it apart can be a mare

Thanks for the replies......it will probably never happen, but just in case, wanted to see what we were up against. I will try to post some photos of her at some point, as she is now.
