I have a 1997 2ltr 16v 306 cabriolet which is a very nice car to drive except for the HEAVY clutch. We have fiddled with the cable, then its OK for a while till the next time. It would be nice to have my wife drive now and again but she says the clutch gives her knee problems. Any ideas folks?  |

Keep the cable clutch! Hydraulic system far more complicated...

are you sure its not the nylon bushes in the box that the arm passes throught hat arnt locking up?  |

typical old Peugeot clutch,they get heavy.If you fit a new O/E clutch and cable,"copperslip" all bushes etc it will be nice and light.

Thanks everyone, as the car is all original I think I will go for oldpugs suggestion. Been 30 years with the girl mike, and only 2 with the car, so I gotta fix the car Dan |
