hello!
Can anybody give me some advice when a cam belt change is required for a 2005 2.0 hdi se? it has 65000 on the clock. I was told it should be changed at 100,000k. is this right?

There's a service bulletin from pug that strongly advises the replacement of the bottom pulley with the cambelt on the DW10TD and DW10ATED (or RHS and RHV engines I think, though I'm hopeless with engine codes).

I tell my customers to have it changed at the 80000 service and if it has that all metal bottom pulley with the big spring inside change it for the rubber type.I`ve seen lots fall apart,I`ve also had one where the bits of spring went through the cover and broke the cam belt!!

Oldpug, are the pulleys interchangeable, all use the same keyway?

I`ve changed lots of metal ones for the rubber damper type on the early hdi`s.The later hdi`s have a different key arrangement and dont use that type of metal pulley.
