Hi I am losing coolant. After a 20 min motorway journey today I noticed coolant dribbling down from the engine compartment (which was not hot). I traced it a a small regular hole on the top of the header tank just underneath the filler cap. I had not seen this hole before but it looks as though it is meant to be there. I have not been overfilling the header tank, and the engine temp is normal. Any advice would be appreciated.

May be the start of a headgasket job? it could be leaking, presurising the system and pumping some water out.

Thanks oldpug. Expensive then, are headgasket jobs successful & worth doing on a 135k miler ?
