307 hdi steering controls/center console

I have got a 04 plate 307 hdi and am looking at buying a Sony CDX-GT540UI because I want an adapter for ipod and was just trying to find out if the center console would work with it. I know i probably have by a set of leads to plug in back to go to steering wheel as it says it is compatible with it.

I haven't got a standard radio at the moment and was wondering if i brought this unit it would do to jobs at once....make the centerer console work and do ipod nicely.

Yes it can be done on a 307, but I don't know the specifics. Any decent audio specialist should be able to advise.
