banging noise on 306

thank you to the 2 that replied to my quirey but before i do the gearbox change i have another problem with my 306! i have a horrible banging noise from the engine bay somewhere only when i put my foot down the clutch is fully out! it stops if i back off on the throttle but wheres the fun in that? it is slowly getting worse! ive been told it could be the gearbox or driveshafts or mountings but where do i start i havent got access to a rolling road and it wont do it if i jack it up coz the engine needs to be under strain!! hope someone out there has had this prob before and can help me out. many thanks.

The O/Side engine mount under the bonnet?I`ve had them split in half or the body work cracks up around the trap nut that the mount screws into.You will have to support the engine and remove the top bracket to find this out.Next one is the lower mount by the o/side drive shaft.
