Title says it really....
I bought a pair of door (possibly wing?) mirrors for a 304 on ebay, but the rubbers that go between the mirror base and the bodywork weren't with them.
Does any kind soul have some they'd care to sell please?
Cheers,
Mike.

Ask your friendly local tyre depot for a scrap inner tube. Then you can cut out your own rubbers to suit. Good luck, Donaldiesel

Tried that. Not with inner tube rubber, but some a wee bit thicker, but when I tightened the screws the rubber decided it wanted to slide under the base. (Base is hollow). Even tried a piece of rubber bigger than the base, tightening the screws and then trimming the rubber. After about half an hour that also had disappeared under the base. (That's what you get for buying rubber off a vampire, the bloody stuff must be allergic to sunlight ;D) I'm assuming the 'real thing' must have a ridge round it to prevent this? Cheers, Mike.

Yes that's correct, the real mcCoy has a ridge, and is probably hard plastic rather than rubber - but finding one for a 304?? I presume that you have tried Dean Hunter in Pontefract, Yorkshire? Regards, Donaldiesel

I must admit I haven't. I have got stuff from him in the past for a 505 and he's always had what I wanted. I'll try him tomorrow, see how we do. The guy I bought the mirrors from gave me the number of another guy called Darius who he reckoned had lots of 304 stuff, but I can never get an answer. So yeah, I'll give Dean a try. Thanks,
Cheers,
Mike.
