another problem Ive had the abs light on the dash since Ive had the car, but every now and then the hand brake stop light comes on and i get the message brake fault on the dash, if i switch the engine off then back on the light goes off and doesn't come back on. i was told the abs light was a faulty censor when i bought the car, has this other stop light got something to do with this? also when i press the brake lightly when I'm going slow there is a grinding noise and i can feel it in the brake pedal(only slightly) I'm hoping i can sort this out myself like i did with my boot lid, thanks to frank ;D thanks for any help. p.s anyone know how to clean the inside of my headlights? the passenger one looks like its misted on the inside.

Not sure on the 307, but on some other pugs this can be caused by a dodgy handbrake switch.

do you think it could just be the snow making the censors act up

could do reallly with having it code read, it just be that the rear abs sensor has the usualy build up of rust behind the sensor. they need removing and the crud removing from behing them every now and again. but till you have it code read theres not alot else i can tell you

there you go, you should of said that first. take the wheel and the brake caliper off, remove the disc, and then you will see the sensor. remove the allan bolt from it. and remove the sensor. clean off the hub face with a sharp screwdriver. scrape untill you see shiny metel. rebuild. also check the wiring above the exhaust heatsheild isnt rubbed through.
