504 timing chain....

Having put a new timing chain tensioner on my 504 coupe ( injected ) I'm paranoid about the timing now. If the bright links are lined up as per the haynes manual, I would have expected them to line up, top to bottom again after two turns of the crank. but they dont. I checked the notches on the sprockets but i just thought the bright links would come back to where they started after a couple of turns?

Dont worry,as long as its all assembled with the line on the cam sprocket in the middle of the two bright links and the line on the crank on the one bright link,it will run.The pump belt is, line on pump gear in the middle of two notches on belt and line on camgear to one notch on belt.(just done one)
