Has anyone had one of these remaps? (done at a garage not one of these plug in thing you get from e bay.) All info says bhp up from 90 to 115 and with increase in mpg? Just wondered if anyone has had it done and if it works! Thanks

Yes, they work. Stick to one of the reputable outlets, such as Superchips, DervDoctor etc.

Do they really increase the power by 25BHP?? thats almost 28%!! One thing you have to consider when having this done is insurance?? I`ve known them to check ECU`s after big accidents and refuse to pay out if its been altered and the insurance company not notified.

they do make a big difference but ive never known anyone to get it dyno'd afterwards. id personally go for a dpt tuning box, they can be tuned for economy or out and out power, plus you can disconect them if you do have an accident.
downloaded ecu's are ok, but if say in a years time the ecu go's t#ts up and you have to replace it then the remap is lost and its money down the pan.

Yep, declare it to your insurers or risk the consequences. TBH, if I were ever that worried I'd just by a faster Peugeot, cos it's not like there's a shortage of choice.

That all depends on how much you delve into the new found power, but reckon on a genuine 5 to 10% if you're disciplined...which will be more than wiped out by the insurance hike
