Hi guys
Driving home yesterday from work in stop-start traffic and some nob went into the back of me. As it was a very low speed impact there was no damage to their car, but they dented the black plastic insert on my back bumper a bit. I only had the car for a week and a half and I'm gutted. I was wondering how hard is to remove this insert and replace it with a new one?

you have to remove the rear bumper, and undo the push tags to remove the trim, the bumper is onlu held on with a couple of screws and clips so not that bad

As the old ones are being binned anyway you'll be pleased to know they can be pried off, or you can drill some screws into them and pull them off with a claw hammer. However, you won't be pleased to know that both methods risk damaging the pristine bumper. The bumper really is a sub 15 minute job to remove, no excuse not to do it proper, like

you can like said, be rough and yank them off, but if you dont want to damage the painted bumper then dont be lazy and remove the bumper, if you lay the tools out needed to do the job first you can have the bumper off trims changed and refited back on the car in well under an hour
