Hi people.. jus wonderin wat people cud say bout the Peugeot 106 coz im lookin to get myself my 1st car and wanted to kno wat people can tell me about the 106..

Good motors. diesels extremely economical, but the 1.4D is dog slow. the 1.5d is bearable, but you need a good un.
1.1 is economical, but not in the same fuel sipping league as the diesels.
the 1.4s are probably the best compromise, give brisk performance, decent fuel concumption (when driven with care), and good tuning potential.
XSis, ralles and GTis especially sought after, though ferret about and you'll find a decent XSi for pennies.

The wife had a blue 106 Graduate or something like that. Only a 1.1 but had plenty of zip and was quite economical but needed a 5th gear. Took us all round Ireland for 3 weeks. Fantastic little car. Sold it to a first time driver and I still see it trundling through town, although it has a phat exhaust now and thumping hi-fi. Aaah the youth of today...
