I suspect that my fuel relay is fault on my T reg 106 (zest) Petrol. The reason I say this is that I heard a fast clicking on the last few occasions when Ive been out, then it stopped. I've found 4 relays behind the glove box but non match the suppliers description ie quite long with 15 terminals ? The other issue could be it ran out of fuel as my Fuel gauge is faulty, but I have since put fuel in the petrol tank. In order to alleviate other possibilities I put fuel in the throttle body and the car started, then quit, thus indicating that is definitely fuel related. Therefore I have 3 scenarios 1) its the fuel relay, But where is it located If its one of the 4 which one ? 2) fuel pump is faulty or 3) theres air lock or something in the pipe to the engine ? how do I rectify.

the fuel pump doesnt really have its own dedicated relay, its a relay that controls the ecu and other items along with the fuel pump, its under ecu , black or brown and about 1" 1/2 long by about an inch and its bolted under the ecu under the bonnet, and its more comonaly called the double relay. check that ure getting 12v to the pump, if not then its probably the relay itself at fault. i think its pins 4 and 8 on the relay that control the pump, pin 4 being the supply to the relay and 8 to the pump, but not sure without looking.
