306xsi Clutch Cable

Hi there,

I'm having no luck sourcing a clutch cable for my car so hopefully somebody on this forum will be able to assist me. I must firstly state that my car is not a roadgoing 306 xsi as stated, it is actually an autograss racing car comprising of a 306 shell fully spaceframed with a 2.0 litre Vauxhall engine/gearbox.

The part number on the clutch cable is 9613868080 04 H6. I brought this to my local Peugeot dealer (in Ireland) but the part they brought in to replace it with was different to the one which I had and had a different part number on it also. I was informed that they would not be able to get me a direct replacement which even they found strange themselves so this is where I hope somebody in the UK might be able to help me!!

I have tried ebay but cannot find a clutch cable with a matching part no. Any help would be greatly appreciated as my existing cable is not in great shape (the car is creeping on the start line...) and will need to be replaced ASAP!!

Am I missing something here? You have Vauxhall mechanics and are asking a Peugeot Dealer for a clutch cable? The part number quoted is not a Peugeot one? Find out if it is a Vauxhall part?

I went to a Vauxhall dealer first, they confirmed that it was not a Vauxhall part number. I then went to the Peugeot dealer, they confirmed that it is a Peugeot part number but that they were unable to get the part as it is out of production.
