Just bought a new key fob from Peugeot and am struggling to program it. All the advices on google do not work at present.
My vehicle is an 02 plate combi quicksilver.
Help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I was told by Peugeot that the fob would require programming at £35.00 + vat, and after paying £69.00 for it I declined the programming thinking I could do it myself, following instruction from forums. But everything I have tried has so far failed as the fob does not lock or unlock the doors. Its as if the fob is dead. Checked the battery in the fob and its ok. No leds on this fob just two buttons, big one locks little one unlocks so it says.
Thanks for your reply

Sorry forgot to mention fob is just for remote lock and unlock. The seller lost the original keys and had to get Duplicut to make a new ignition key which works fine and locks/unlocks, when poked in the doors. But I wanted a remote, so I phoned Peugeot and gave my reg number and they ordered me a remote fob.

what you need to do then is leave the car alone for 10 mins without pressing anything on the keys, whilst you sit in it. the insert the key and turn it to the second stage, then press the lock button and hold it down for 10 seconds. then release the buttons and switch off the ignition. get out the car and leave it for a minuite, then try it.

Many thanks Frank. Followed your instructions to the letter but still no joy. Took it to a garage man today and he put the computer on it, even reprogrammed the key but still the remote does not work. I have phoned Robins and Day and they said if their service guy can fix it I will have to pay £47.44 if he can't they will say the key fob is faulty. Car booked in for Monday 1.30. My son suggested I put a eBay one on for £26.00 and have two remotes that work like on my 106 and 205. I think he has a point here

Went to Robins & Day on Monday. What a complete farce When I showed them the key fob I was asked where the key blade was, I told them I was not sold one, just the blade less fob. They said they cannot program the fob without a key blade in it. So they have had £69.00 for a fob, (which would never work) god knows how much they wanted for a blade to fit fob, then £44.00 to program it all. Then to top it all they weren't sure whether my car had the remote locking facility. At this point I walked away, cutting my losses at £69.00 I did think of complaining to the Robins & Day main director but guess this would be just a waste of a stamp. What a terrible way to treat customers. I shall never use Robins & Day ever again I might just try trading standards tho ;D. I don't like being treated like dirt
