Greetings all. I'm soon to be the owner of a X reg 406 Diesel estate in retirement home metallic Gold, having parted company with a v.reliable Mondeo estate of the same age due to an accident.
Read lots about the Pug and looking forward to getting to know it. I think it might be a 90bhp HDI. Not sure cos the car is being given to me & the wife as a gift from her elderly grandmother and I don't have all the info. It's only done 30,000 from new! Bargain of the century or what. Anyone know what the annual VED is on a 2.0L? Is the 110bhp HDI any higher? Is there anything I should watch out for? All info gratefully received.

It should say on the V5 either HDi(90) or HDi(110). If in doubt, pop the bonnet and look for an intercooler - if it ain't got one, it's a 90. In practical terms, there's little to seperate the two dynamically and a well cared for 90 will fell quicker than a shagged 110. 90 has drum rear brakes, which are equally effective as the 110s discs, but not half as troublesome.
Road tax will be full whack on either derivative, unless it just pips in as one of those rated by emissions, in which case it's just under full whack.
