Hiya
Sounds lovely but I'm going to stick my neck out and say sadly, not a lot. The 305 is very firmly stuck in people minds as an old banger at the moment so it has zero classic value and zero street cred. We all know that it is a comfy and reliable daily driver, if a tad dull, but everyone else out in ebay land sees only a 24 year old box. Value? On ebay probably £500 tops. If you're after selling it have a word with the clubs registrar and/or put it up on the club website.

+1.
Owned a 1985 305 Base myself from 1991 till 1998. Value? Not a lot. 104ZS said it all.
Pretty much regarded like any Mk1 or Mk 2 Ford Escort these days. To me, it was a fantastic cheap car in my early pennyless driving days. Paid £800 for it in an absolutely filthy external state off a farmer and it turned out to be immaculate once cleaned. However, Peugeot dealer did not even give me £50 for it 7 years later...
If you tried to sell, you'd have to find a 305 enthusiast. Young drivers these days want a small modern cars.

Pretty much regarded like any Mk1 or Mk 2 Ford Escort these days. Except that Mk 1 escorts fetch around £2000 on ebay at the moment even when terminally shagged, with Mk 2's not far behind. starting bid of £1500. Madness

Hundred or so nicker with an MOT. aprart from the die hard cognescenti, these are totally unloved. however, it sounds like a smart, cheap foothold into classic Peugeot ownership an is therefore beyond value to you. Niceone.

I haven't seen a 305 in years now. Is it petrol or diesel?? I'd have to go with the majority and say that whist they were fine cars, even rarity and low mileage doesn't make any difference to the value. Like others from that era (Talbot Horizon, Austin Maestro, Rover 213 etc etc) they've just become quietly forgotten.

Hi Cathyjane, I think 305s are great and I use one daily. It is a quality product of its era. Attractive Pininfarina lines and a cut above the competition of the same period. It is true that it is not much appreciated in the UK. However, there is a strong following in France, where apparently it is rather chic in a retro sort of way. See: www.planete305.tk/ Your example has an exceptionally low mileage and would be a very useable bargain for someone at UK prices. Who needs 'street cred' anyway? If it is as good as you say and you are looking to sell, it may be worth checking prices in France. There are plenty of enthusiasts willing & able to convert it to LHD. Is yours a series 1(original shape) or series 2 model? They changed about 82/83 so your '82 could be either. Series 1 models are particularly rare. What is the owners club you are registered with? I am not aware of this vehicle registered with CPUK. There is a very nice series 1 GLS in bronze (also '82) that was the subject of an article in The Peugeotist a few years back. Regards, Donaldiesel
