Hi guys I have a intermittent fault on our Peugeot 306 some time we go out and enter the correct code into the keypad and the car will not start we go away and go back shall we sat 30 to 40 Min's later enter the correct code and the car starts no problem at all when the fault occurs the red light is on as normal and once the code is entered the green light comes on but car will not even turn over anybody got any suggestions or help is it possible to turn this keypad off so we do not have to use it at all

The key pad kills the ignition not the starter,so if the wrong code is in the engine would turn over but not start.I think from what your saying the fault is an intermittent starter motor fault?? So,with ignition on is the red & green lights on? when the CORRECT code is in does the red light go out & the green light stay on? If yes to all this and the engine will not turn over give the starter a "bash" it does help sometimes.

Providing the key fob/remote control is working you can program the system to automatic mode.Switch on ignition,enter your confidential code,(red out green on),within ten seconds press C then 1 then C .Confirmed by four green flashes & bleeps.It is in automatic mode BUT you must use the remote control to open the door.My wife has an old 406 and never used the key pad for the last five years.
